MAGAZINE MASH-UP ON SALE

the OUTFIT i wore for some of the inside shots for the best of sl interview was a mash up i threw together with some pieces of my stuff, and an unreleased scarf... i have it on sale in my shop WITH boots and WITHOUT the boots at 199L and 299L.

bang bang love!

it's not that often i'm asked to be on a mag cover, and i have to say, it's fun especially when i get to do the shoot!!! for the best of sl mag i was asked to be on the february cover with a story and interview inside (page 157) and i was really excited... the idea i had for the front didn't work but the one that evolved i sorta like. working with the new editor umberto giano was a real pleasure, he's very sharp and very kind. it was fun to get back into doing photos that weren't ads and stuff so creatively it was a lot of fun. tuli was so kind to make me this custom pose at the last minute as my posemaker was gone :( and she did a great job! (ty sissy!) also, tesa jewell who was my model of the month a few months back told me where to get this hair cuz i loved it. (now i can't remember and can't log in!)




there are some GREAT articles in there, one on june dion that has FAB photos!!!! i've not read the whole mag yet but there's a hilarious dating guide too... i was really LOLing.... well, i'm not sure if i should post an inside page or not, hehe, but i'll post one photo that i sorta liked... i never wear "swirly" hair like i did and it was sorta fun.

crash and kick

the new black for me this year has been CRASHING!!! i crash when i log on, rez, shoot, edit, chat, no matter what crashing seems to be the color that thinks it suits me best this year....

i wanna kick something! so with this post... here are my 2 weirdest images when my screen freezes.... AND a bunch of ppl who came to get the new "kick shickers".... maybe they can help me in solving this issue...

happy flats!!!

i LOVE a good pair of flats and i have been making then like crazy. i'm putting out first these which match the scarves i put out last week, they have a silky paisley print (im on a paisley kick now too, more stuff out soon) and these cuties have 12 gemstone choices on touch. one option is plain and one has cute silver skulls :) (yes i like skulls my first outfit was "skullicious")

anyway, i think flats are a must have wardrobe staple, so if you do too... here ya go! (btw these were inspired by some RL vintage flats i own, i have a bunch with stones on them and so any they are special to me :)

scarves, and new boots out!

well i got the boots out, SL cooperated, (finally) and all 12 colors of the new "wild kick shickers" are out. they have 12 gemstone options (scripted) INCLUDING BLACK DIAMONDS, which go great with the leopard print.

i threw together a few outfits with some stuff i sell and some stuff i need to get out with the new scarves :) ***

the scarves come in 7 colors... in the paisley print, and i have animal ones and others coming out soon!!!

***a note on the scarf... my GREAT friend the DIVINE miss digit darkes make me a scarf for SL5B for my booth and i loved it so much... i asked her how she made it and she said "dude! it's full perm, you can just retexture it if you want!" and i said, "yeah but i'd love to sell some like it" and she's like "dude, it's full perm, do whatever you want with it!!! it's my gift to you" and so i fiddled with her prims and make a ton of them, so far just the paisley are out. i told this story just to let you all know what a GREAT friend she is and an amazing designer, but even more so, a generous, giving person who has helped me so so so much with resources, and encouragement and enthusiasm. (i have a post about how we both were so lucky to be in a show in italy but i'll post that later)

well if i could get sl to cooperate, these would be out now, but i can't so you here's a sneak peak on what i hope is out tomorrow!!! i'm having so much fun with these boots... i'll post some fun ways to wear them laters!!! the stones change to 12 choices so the fashion possibilities are endless!! and..... hmmm.... well that's all for now.

new boots made for kick shickin!

here are some fun new boots, the main parts are sculpted and they fit 0-10 feet and look GREAT on... think outside the western box and have fun with these. i've been wearing them with everything from dresses... the stones can be changed (all or just some) by touching and choosing from 12 different stones. i've made a "black on black" special pair and those stones stay black.

anyway available at my main shop right in the front! you can't miss 'em!

happy new year & some reflections

2008 was a strange year for me for a lot of reasons. some of it was fantastic, some was really hard, and there were moments of great joy and pretty strong despair. it seemed to be a theme i saw in many of my friends' lives as well, everything from health issues to family problems, money, and most anything one can imagine. the constant theme was, "nothing is for sure except change" by nature at times i fight against change, other times i embrace it. sl seemed to see a lot of changes, and besides the technical ones which are always sort of annoying, i enjoyed seeing the creativity and diversity grow from fashion, to charities, education, art and more. there were a lot of firsts in 2008 for sl, which were so exciting to see and for the most part, i will have fond memories of this past year. meeting friends whom i hope to know for life, hearing stories from people behind those cartoon people we interact with, there are many touching things i experienced which i will never forget i don't think. personally i had some challenges like sl5b (trying to make something of some interest after losing my builder), to finally building a store that i think i can fit anything my ecclectic brain wants to create in, and a few other personal challenges business wise! saying NO! hehe... (always sorta hard)

i'm thankful for 2008 and honestly, thankful it's over. new years for me are like the first morning of spring, where you feel that warmth of the sun again on your face for the first time, and know that soon flowers will bloom, little baby animals will be born and those things which have been hidden away will come out for all to see, or wish to see them.

from the bottom of my heart i wish you all the very best for 2009.
